There are international safety standards that specify maximum vibrations delivered to the body (ISO 2641-1 and ISO 13090-1). SUBPAC products fall under the safe range of these standards.
We do however recommend caution for the following populations:
1. Those who are pregnant or could be pregnant:
Literature suggests that pregnant women should not be exposed to strong whole-body vibrations and/or blows to the body. We believe that our vibrations aren’t strong enough, but we recommend this out of an abundance of caution.
2. Those who have a pacemaker:
Pacemakers can be susceptible to magnetic interference. We are below the limit, however, we recommend this out of an abundance of caution as we don't have control over how people use our products.
3. Those with diabetes, and those with swollen or inflamed areas or skin eruption:
This precaution is also included in massage chairs and heated seat pads. Some diabetics have sensory nerve damage which causes a lack of sensation, which prevents them from reacting to high levels of vibrations or elevated temperatures.
